What brands of motors do you use?
We primarily use Dooya, AOK and RAEX motors. We match the appropriate brand and motor model based on your product and size specifications.
Are the motors wired or battery-powered?
Unless otherwise specified, our motors are battery-powered using lithium batteries.
How quiet is the motor?
The noise level is less than 35dB, similar to the sound of a refrigerator starting. The Plug-In Version might be noisier.
Can the motor be seen from the outside?
The motor for the curtains, the battery pack for the honeycomb shades, and the Roman shades (if chosen without a header) are exposed, while the motors for other shades remain hidden.
How can I control the motors? Which apps are supported?
- Roller blinds, Zebra blinds, and Shangri-La blinds with lithium battery motors can be upgraded with a Zigbee gateway for smart voice control and Tuya app integration.
- Honeycomb blinds, uncased Roman shades, and manual-electric integrated roller shades only support remote control and cannot be connected to smart home systems.
- For curtain open-and-close systems, the Dooya lithium battery motor currently supports only remote operation; constant 24/7 internet connectivity would rapidly drain the battery, necessitating a recharge every month.
Do I need to buy a gateway/speaker?
HomeKit requires a HomePod.
If you choose tuya system, we provide a complimentary gateway, while Tuya's voice control still need a Google or Amazon speaker.
If you need additional smart gateways, please contact us to purchase them separately at $59 each.
Does the smart motor have a timing function?
- The remote controls do not have a timing function.
- After adding a gateway, the roller blinds, Zebra blinds, and Shangri-La blinds can be scheduled through the app.
If the motor runs out of power or breaks, can I operate it manually?
If you need this feature, please specify clearly when placing your order. Only our roller blinds feature a specially designed manual-integrated system, allowing them to function normally even during power outages. However, if you choose the manual and motorized combination, they will be remote-controlled only.
How often does the battery need to be charged?
The charging frequency depends on your usage, the size of the product, and whether it is controlled by a smart gateway. For larger sizes (e.g., 2m x 3m) and heavier fabrics, the power consumption will be higher.
We recommend charging the battery every 6 months to maintain lithium ion activity. For lighter loads, you may only need to charge every 7-12 months.
How do I charge the lithium battery?
We will provide you with a charging cable approximately 2 meters long. Charging is just like charging a mobile phone—simply plug it into a power adapter.
How long does each charge take？
Around 4 hours.
What is the remote control range?
The remote control range is up to 30 meters.
What is the warranty and after-sales service?
The warranty for our lithium battery motors is 1 year.
