FAQs About Curtain Rods/Tracks
What are the differences between your various rods?
If you need to side-mount on the wall, the Curtain rod is the best choice.
- The first one is an adjustable curtain rod with very strong load-bearing capacity, suitable for heavy drapes: Adjustable Curtain Rod.
- The second one is customized for extra-long windows, precisely cut to fit your dimensions and supports Ripple Fold Curtains: Custom Cut Track Curtain Rod.
If you need to top-mount on the ceiling, we recommend curtain tracks:
- This curtain track has strong load-bearing capacity, is very quiet and smooth, making it ideal for ceiling mounts: Aluminum Silent Curtain Track.
- This curtain track is not as strong as the previous one but is ultra-thin and nearly invisible once installed: Ultra Thin Silent Invisible Track.
If you're decorating a bay window, we recommend EASEEASE curved tracks:
- Any space that requires curved curtain track, you can choose our concealed flexible track, which supports both ceiling and wall mounting for a seamless look
How do I choose the right curtain rod based on my header style?
To select the appropriate curtain rails for your header style, you should consider the type of header you have:
- Check Your Header Style: Different header styles require different types of rods. For example, some headers may need a specific type of rod that can accommodate the pleats or folds.
- Refer to the Guide: You can find detailed guidance on matching Roman rods with header styles in our blog post: How to Choose Hanging Header Style.
This resource will help you determine which rod best suits your header, ensuring a perfect fit and optimal functionality.
How should I adjust the drapery height for ceiling-mounted tracks?
If you want to install Curtain rods as close to the ceiling/molding as possible, they still need to be side-mounted on the wall.
- For Roman rods with a grommet header, subtract 2" to 2.5".
- For a pleated header, subtract 3" to 3.5" to achieve for a 0.5" above the floor look.
If you choose tracks, we recommend mounting them on the ceiling.
- For Ultra-Thin Tracks: Deduct 1" to achieve a "kiss the floor" effect .
- For Standard Tracks: Deduct 1.5".
- For Curved Tracks: Deduct 1.2"
Should the width I enter include the width of the curtain rod finials?
No, the width refers to the width of your curtain rod, excluding the finials. If you want to install it wall-to-wall, please leave room for the width of the finials.
How smooth and quiet are they?
EASEEASE curtain rods are all very smooth and easy to use.
- The Adjustable Roman Rod features a nano-coating that reduces friction, making it much smoother than standard Roman rods.
- The other options use tracks, which are virtually silent when in use. You won't hear any noise when drawing the curtains, so you won't disturb your partner's sleep in the morning.
How to hang curtain rod or tracks? Can I install these on my own?
Yes, you can install these on your own with a few considerations:
- Curtain Rods: For installation, measure the desired height from the floor using fabric to ensure accurate placement. This will help you position the rod correctly before securing it in place.
- Curtain Tracks: If you are installing ceiling-mounted tracks, ensure there is a 7 cm gap from the wall to allow for smooth operation and to accommodate any necessary space for the hardware.
For step-by-step installation instructions, please refer to our detailed guide: Installation Instructions
Where to hang curtain rods?
We generally recommend installing curtain rods at least 8 inches above the window, especially in bedrooms, to effectively prevent light leakage from the top.
If your window is on the smaller side and you want to create the illusion of a larger window through curtain placement, check out our blog <6 Curtain Tips to Make Small Windows Look Larger> for expert tips on achieving the best visual effect.
How to hang curtain on curtain rod?
If you purchase EaseEase curtains, we typically pre-thread the curtain hooks before shipping. This means you can hang them directly onto the rod without any extra setup—quick and effortless!
Do I need to buy additional accessories?
No, you don’t need to purchase additional accessories separately.
- If you buy our EASEEASE curtain tracks or curtain rods, please specify the header style you selected, and we will ensure the accessories are matched appropriately before shipment.
