How wide should custom curtains be?
Order 1.5–2× the curtain rod width so the panels look full and gather evenly when closed.
What curtains are best for a bedroom?
Blackout or room-darkening panels in a heavier fabric like linen or velvet block light and give full privacy.
What is the difference between sheer and blackout curtains?
Sheers diffuse light and offer little daytime privacy, while blackout panels block light fully and give complete privacy.
How long should curtains be?
Floor length finishing about 0.5" off the floor is the standard clean look; add 1–3" if you want the fabric to puddle.
Are custom (made-to-measure) curtains worth it?
