The EaseEase Ceiling Curtain Track is designed for one job: disappearing into your ceiling. At just 1/4" thick, it installs flush against the ceiling — no visible bracket gap, no bulky rail. It supports pleated and ripple fold curtains, holds 55+ lbs per bracket, and runs whisper-quiet on every draw. If you want floor-to-ceiling curtains that look built-in, this is the track.

Is This the Right Track for Your Space?

Low ceiling room made to look taller with a ceiling curtain track
Perfect fit

Low ceilings (8 ft rooms)

At just 1/4" thick, the track mounts flush and all but disappears into the ceiling, so curtains hang from the very top. That uninterrupted vertical line tricks the eye — an 8 ft ceiling reads like a 9 ft one, making the whole room feel taller and more spacious.

Bedroom blackout curtains on a ceiling-mounted track
Perfect fit

Bedroom blackout setup

Gap-free blackout starts at the top. A ceiling-mounted track eliminates the light leak that wall-mounted rods always leave between the bracket and the ceiling. Pair with ripple fold blackout curtains for full coverage — and the whisper-quiet gliders mean no noise when you open them at 6 a.m.

Works great

Open-plan room divider

Run a ceiling track across an open floor plan to create a flexible partition — home office nook, dressing area, or guest sleeping space — without building a wall. The single & double track options let you layer sheer + blackout for privacy on demand. No wall anchor needed.

Sliding glass door curtains on a ceiling track
Works great

Sliding glass door curtains

Sliding doors need a track that fully clears the opening when pulled back. A ceiling-mounted track lets you extend the rail past both sides of the door so curtains stack out of the way completely — no bunching in the walk path. The slim aluminum profile keeps the look clean against glass.

Not the right fit? If your window has bends — bay windows, L-shaped alcoves, or bow windows — you'll need a flexible bendable track instead. Check our Bay Window Flexible Track for those shapes.

Good to Know Before You Buy

  • To prevent sagging in middle over time

The brackets must be mounted into studs, not drywall. The advantage of our track is that it can be fixed to any studs available, unlike adjustable rods, which require studs at the left, right, and center of the window.

  • Make sure runners match your curtain

We recommend a pleated header, as it allows height adjustment to stay level with uneven floors.

  • Smooth gliding, even in sections

Don't place brackets right at the joint; leave some distance to keep the joint level.

Ceiling Mount Rod: How to Deduct Curtain Length

  • Pleated Header: Curtain height = ceiling height - 1"
  • Ripple Fold Header: Curtain height = ceiling height - 3/4"or1 1/8"

Note: If your window has a decorative top trim, measure the height from the bottom edge of the trim to the floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a ceiling curtain track and a curtain rod?

A curtain rod mounts on wall brackets with visible hardware and works with grommet or rod-pocket curtains. A ceiling curtain track mounts flush to the ceiling, is nearly invisible, and works with pleated or ripple fold curtains — giving a cleaner, more architectural look with no light gap at the top.

How do I install a ceiling curtain track?

Mark your bracket positions on the ceiling (every 24–36 inches recommended), drill pilot holes into ceiling joists or use appropriate anchors for drywall, screw in the brackets, then snap the aluminum track into place. The full kit includes all mounting hardware — no separate purchases needed.

Can ceiling curtain tracks be used for room dividers?

Yes — ceiling tracks are the standard solution for open-plan room dividers because there is no wall needed to anchor them. Simply run the track across the ceiling span and hang your curtains from the gliders. The double-track option lets you layer a sheer and a blackout panel.

What curtain header types work with the EaseEase ceiling track?

The EaseEase Ceiling Track is compatible with pleated curtain headers and ripple fold headers. It is not designed for grommet, rod pocket, or tab-top curtains — those styles require a curtain rod instead.

How much weight can a ceiling curtain track hold?

The EaseEase track supports 55+ lbs per bracket when properly anchored into ceiling joists. For heavy blackout curtains or velvet panels, space brackets every 24 inches for maximum support.

Is a ceiling curtain track good for blackout curtains in a bedroom?

Yes — ceiling mount is actually the best setup for blackout curtains because it eliminates the light gap that wall-mounted rods always leave at the top. Mount the track flush to the ceiling and extend it 6–8 inches past each side of the window to prevent side light bleed.

Can I cut the ceiling curtain track to a custom length?

Yes. The aluminum track can be cut with a hacksaw or metal-cutting blade to any length. Score the cut line first and use a file to smooth the edge before re-inserting the end stop.

What is the difference between single and double ceiling curtain track?

A single track holds one curtain panel layer. A double track has two parallel rails — typically used to layer a sheer curtain (closer to the window for daytime privacy) and a blackout curtain (outermost rail for night use). Both single and double options are available.
