Are these really waterproof — can they handle a bathroom?
Yes. The honeycomb fabric is waterproof-treated and mold-resistant, rated at about water-resistance Level 3. That means it stands up to bathroom steam, humidity, and the occasional splash far better than an ordinary shade. Position it near — not directly in — the shower-spray path, and dry it promptly if it gets wet.
Will they grow mold in a humid bathroom?
The fabric is treated to resist mold and mildew, which is what makes it suitable for humid rooms. To keep it that way, wipe off standing water and let the shade dry after heavy steam — prolonged soaking is the one thing that can eventually lead to mold.
Can I install them right where the shower sprays?
No — these are made for windows near the wet area, not directly in the stream of the shower. For a window that gets hit by direct spray, choose our Solar Shades, which are built for constant water contact. These waterproof honeycomb blinds are ideal everywhere else in the bathroom.
Do they come in light-filtering and blackout?

How do I clean them?
Wipe the fabric with a soft, damp cloth and a mild cleaner, then let it air-dry. Because the surface is waterproof-treated, splashes and light grime come off easily. Avoid soaking or machine washing.
How do I measure — inside or outside mount?
For an inside mount you need a window depth of at least 2"; give your exact casing width and subtract 1/4" yourself (e.g. a 50" casing = order 49 3/4"). For an outside mount (depth under 2"), add 2" to the width and 3" to the height for full coverage. A small 1/8" light gap on the sides is normal on inside mounts.
