When it comes to luxury home décor, every detail matters—especially window treatments. Our latest project in California highlights the art of combining elegance, functionality, and personalized design to create the perfect ambiance. This stunning home, designed in a light French style, features high ceilings, abundant natural light, and a carefully curated color palette of cream, white, natural wood, gold, and black. The black-framed windows and matching furniture add a touch of modern minimalism with a hint of luxury.
Here’s how EaseEase helped transform this space with custom curtains and shades tailored to each room’s unique requirements.
Curtains for Living Room: Framing the Home’s Architectural Highlight
The living room is the heart of the home, and its large, uniquely shaped windows are a striking architectural feature.

Initially, the homeowner considered motorized blackout curtains, but battery-powered options require annual charging, and wired installations would have visible cables that might disrupt the clean aesthetic. Instead, we recommended our gliding curtain track system, ensuring effortless operation even for extra-tall curtains.
For fabric selection, we ruled out thick blackout curtains to maintain the room’s light and airy atmosphere. While sheer curtains add softness, they lacked the layered depth needed for this expansive space. Ultimately, we opted for French linen sheer drapery, elegantly center-split, creating a refined and ethereal effect that perfectly complements the home’s warm lighting and soft textures.
Kitchen Shades: A Blend of Practicality and Aesthetics
In the kitchen, functionality is key. The homeowner needed window treatments that were moisture-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to operate.

To match the cream-colored walls, we installed linen roller shades, which blend seamlessly into the background while adding warmth and texture.
For the bar area, we introduced a white zebra shade, offering flexible privacy control while allowing outdoor views. Between these two options, which would you prefer for your kitchen—a seamless, minimalist look or an adjustable light-filtering solution?
Master Bathroom Shades: Enhancing Privacy with Soft Elegance
The master bathroom’s arched black-framed windows posed a unique design challenge. Traditional shades were difficult to install without compromising aesthetics.

Our solution? White privacy sheers—a perfect balance of light diffusion and privacy. When drawn, they elegantly obscure the dark frames, creating a soft-glow effect, like a built-in beauty filter for the space. Open them, and the striking curved window design is fully showcased. The transformation was truly breathtaking!
Guest Bathroom Shades: Durability Meets Style
For the guest bathroom, we prioritized low-maintenance and long-lasting materials. The best solution?

Zebra shades, known for their moisture resistance, UV protection, and pet-friendly durability. These shades allow for optimal airflow while maintaining privacy and sun protection. Paired with the bathroom’s French-inspired wall tiles, elegant vanity, and neutral flooring, they seamlessly blend function and beauty.
Blackout Curtains for Master Bedroom, Family Room and Kids’ Room
The master bedroom continues the previous window style with a modern, minimalist black frame, while the top features an arched semi-circular decorative window.

For the master bedroom, we selected heavyweight linen blend curtains for their luxurious drape and soft, neutral tones that harmonize effortlessly with the creamy walls. Their subtle texture adds depth without overpowering the space.
Using curtains instead of shades in the family room can significantly enhance the sense of space and depth. Typically, a single layer of sheer curtains would suffice. However, since there is audio-visual equipment in the room, and the client wanted to avoid reflections while watching TV during the day, we opted for double-layered fabric curtains. These provide better light control and help reduce glare on the TV screen, making them ideal for a home entertainment setting.
Before

After
The kids’ room features the same fabric but in a charming dusty blue, catering to the young resident’s love for the color. Our Morandi-inspired palette ensures that no matter which shade is chosen, the result remains elegant and cohesive.
We previously designed a green-themed bedroom using the same linen collection, proving that these curtains adapt beautifully to different aesthetics. Whether you're drawn to calming neutrals or playful pastels, our range has something to suit every taste.
Blackout Curtains for Parents’ Bedroom
For the elderly residents, we selected herringbone-patterned blackout curtains. These offer a refined yet subtle texture, adding visual interest without overwhelming the space. From a distance, the pattern is understated, but up close, it reveals a fine, elegant weave that enhances the overall sense of craftsmanship and sophistication.
Safe & Stylish Shades for Nursery Room
The homeowner really loves purple, but this bold color isn't ideal for large spaces or bedrooms as it can easily feel out of place. So, we helped her achieve her purple dream in the small baby room. We used day and night honeycomb shades, which combine the day sheer fabric and night fabric together. During the day, the sheer fabric offers a breathable, light-filtering effect, while at night, the blackout fabric provides 100% darkness. This solution perfectly balances the color she loves with functionality.
