These are no-drill honeycomb (cellular) shades made for French doors, glass-panel doors, and narrow windows. They mount with adhesive brackets — no screws or wall anchors — so there's no damage to door frames, tile, or rental walls, and they come off cleanly when you move. The slim honeycomb cell traps air for insulation and privacy, offers light-filtering or blackout fabric, and supports top-down bottom-up. Custom-cut to the exact width of narrow and small openings most stock blinds can't fit. From $81.65.

Is This the Right Shade for Your Door or Window?

No-drill honeycomb shade on a French glass door
Perfect fit

French & glass-panel doors

Mounts flat against the glass and moves with the door, so it never blocks the handle or bangs when you open it. The slim cellular profile keeps a clean look on the panel — exactly what standard blinds can't do on a door.

Perfect fit

Rentals & tile (no drilling)

No screws, no wall anchors, no holes — safe for door frames, tile, and rental properties, and removable without damage. Ideal anywhere drilling isn't allowed or you don't want to mark the surface.

Narrow & small windows

Custom-cut to the exact width of narrow, small, or non-standard openings that off-the-shelf blinds simply don't come in. The compact headrail suits sidelights, cabinet glass, and tight frames.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these need drilling? Will they damage my door frame, tile, or rental walls?

No drilling. The brackets mount with construction adhesive — no screws or wall anchors — so there are no holes and no damage to door frames, tile, or rental walls. They can be removed cleanly when you move. (The adhesive is not included; any construction adhesive works.)

Can these be installed on French doors and glass doors?

Yes — that's what they're designed for. The shade mounts flat on the door panel and moves with the door, so it won't block the handle or swing loose. Install with the shade in the closed position and don't open it until all four corners are fully secured.

Will there be light gaps on the sides?

A small side gap of about 2 mm is left on each side so the shade can slide smoothly (free-stop). The honeycomb fabric still blocks the view and softens or blocks light through the face; choose blackout fabric if you want maximum darkness.

How do I measure — do I subtract 1/8", and what depth do I need?

For an inside/on-glass mount you need only 0.59" (5/8") of depth. Order the headrail width as your glass width minus about 1/8" (0.12–0.125") so the shade clears the sides; height equals the glass/window height. For an outside mount, add at least 1" to the height. Measure precisely — these are made to the millimeter.

Are these light-filtering or blackout?

Both. Choose a light-filtering honeycomb for a soft glow with daytime privacy, or a blackout honeycomb for full privacy and maximum darkness on the door or window.

Are they cordless and child-safe, and can they do top-down bottom-up?

Yes. The cordless free-stop design has no dangling cords, so it's child- and pet-safe. The top-down bottom-up option lets you lower the shade from the top or raise it from the bottom — open a little at the top for light while keeping the lower glass private.

Do honeycomb shades insulate a glass door or drafty window?

Yes. The honeycomb cells trap a layer of air against the glass, reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer — useful on glass doors and drafty windows that would otherwise let temperature through.

What adhesive do I need, and how do I install without drilling?

Use a standard construction adhesive (purchased separately) on the mounting brackets. Keep the shade closed while installing, press each bracket firmly, and don't operate the shade until all four corners are fully set. Pull from the center of the rail — not one side — when using it. A step-by-step install video is on the page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Honeycomb Shades highly sensitive to measurement accuracy?

Yes, it requires precision down to the millimeter.

Will there be any light gaps on the sides after installation?

There will be a gap of approximately 2 millimeters.

Do I need to subtract 1/8 inches when filling in the width?

Yes, to ensure smooth free stop sliding, a gap must be left between the fabric and the glass. You can subtract 0.12“-0.125".
