Measure Width and Length Correctly

Shades can be inside or outside mounted. Considering the window frame depth is the first step.

    • A clean, built-in look, 2 1/2 inches minimum depth requirement；
    • 3/8 inch headrail deduction taken at your actual measuring to ensure the side does not touch the edges tightly；
    • Note there will be slight gaps on the sides due to fabric deductions.
    • No minimum depth requirement.
    • We recommend ordering additional width 4-6 inches to prevent light gaps on the sides of your window.

Do blackout roman shades leak light at the edges?

The blackout fabric blocks light through the shade itself, but roman shades sit slightly forward of the glass, so a little light can enter around the edges. Inside mount or pairing with side curtains minimizes this.

How do I care for a patterned fabric roman shade?

Dust or vacuum gently and spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth. Do not machine wash or dry clean, to protect the fabric and embroidery.
